He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Schranz), formerly of Gates; mother, Mary Cart LaPointe of Valparaiso, FL; sister, Tania LaPointe of FL; brother, Jonathan (Mary) LaPointe of FL; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Bud & Ellen Schranz of Gates, NY; 2 sisters-in-law, Karen (Peter) Mersich of Tonawanda, NY& Emily Schranz of Gates, NY. Disabled Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Friends may call WEDNESDAY 5-8pm at the HARLOFF Funeral Home 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester, NY. Matthew's Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on THURSDAY AFTERNOON at St. Jerome's Church in East Rochester.
