Obituary of Alan Matthews, Sr.

Matthews, Alan R., Sr. "Dick" East Rochester: Died Sunday December 26, 201 surrounded by his family. Dick, who was 64 years old, was predeceased by his father, Donald Matthews & mother, Eileen Matthews. He is survived by loving wife of 41 years, Sandra; daughter, Nicole (Craig) Chilelli; son, Rick; grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew & Anna Marie; brothers, Tom (Sharon), Ed (Cynthia) & Joe Matthews; sister-in-law, Cynthia (Joseph) Abdallah; brothers-in-law, John (Dorothy) James, David (Patsy) James, Michael Martin & Harold (Linda) James; numerous nieces & nephews. Dick was a US Navy Veteran (Vietnam). He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak, he had a never ending love of the NY Yankees & Giants, and no matter how ill he had been, never gave up a chance to see his grandchildren's sporting events. The family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 2-4, 7-9pm at the HARLOFF Funeral Home 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester. Dick's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on THURSDAY at St. Jerome's Church followed by burial in White Haven Memorial Park.
