Stella is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Don) Lamb; 8 Grandchildren: Douglas (wife, Marie) Graham, James Albert (wife, Lisa) Graham (3 children), David Graham, Leslie Graham & her partner (Ted Karalekas)(1 child), Donald Lamb Jr.(2 children), Kimberly (husband Mark) Gillen (4 children), Chris (wife, Stacy) Lamb (5 children)& Jennifer(husband, Nathan) Thompson (4 children); totaling 19 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews including, Barbara (Peck) & Clyde Wehr, Patrica (Ross) & Dale Hurley and her very best friend and neighbor of 65 years, Margaret Mauro. Margaret (who's been more like Stella's younger sister) and her entire family have been an integrial part of Stella's life, and we are forever grateful to them for allowing us into their lives. Stella worked for many, many years at the Old Piano Works in East Rochester, which assisted in the war effort during WWII by manfacturing parts for military aircraft. Stella was a avid card and bingo player and could often be found at the East Rochester Senior Center playing cards. She taught her children and grandchildren to play bingo and many card games when they were together on family visits. She was a excellent bowler and had many trophies and awards. During her High School years, she was an extremely athletic girl, setting a high school record in the high jump @ 4'6". Stella moved into Maplewood Estates in Fairport, NY in October 2009. Stella remained a fearless lady, who never complained, despite decades of suffering debilitating knee pain from her althetic youth. She was a devout Catholic and faithful member of St. Jerome's Church in East Rochester. Stella often attended church functions and worshiped at weekly services throughout her long life. Stella loved college basketball, especially March-Madness. She was a BIG Mets baseball fan and was in the stadium in October 1951,when Bobby Thompson hit the "shot heard round the world" and the NY baseball Giants won the pennant. Friends may call FRIDAY AFTERNOON 3-5PM at the HARLOFF Funeral Home 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Stella's life will be held at St. Jerome's Church on 9:30am on SATURDAY. (No prior calling). Interment will be at White Haven Memorial Park.
