Love, light prayers and hugs to Rel’s family. When we moved to Rochester in 1986, the Horsleys were kind enough to introduce us to Lynn and Pam, and that’s how we got to know the entire, beautiful Ahern family. Countless dinners, bocce games, Easter egg hunts and cool things happened at the Ahern house, and a more awesome family you’ll never find. I can still feel Rel’s warmth as I write this. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose your mom no matter the age. I have personally found much comfort in the words at Acts 24:15 where it tells us, "There is going to be a resurrection", and that soon God will "wipe out every tear" from our eyes. (Rev. 21:4) I'm also looking forward to seeing the fulfillment of Psalm 92:14, "Even in old age they will still be thriving; They will remain vigorous and fresh". You have my sincere condolences while we patiently wait for that day.

So sad to learn of Rel's passing. She and her husband, Dick, were one of my favorite couples. I served several years as their home teacher and loved my visits with them. It is comforting to know that she and Dick are now together again forever.

I am so very sorry to hear that Rel has graduated from this life but am happy to think of her reunion with Dick. We cherished our friendship with Dick and Rel and for several years I counted Rel my best friend. I’m so sorry that life took us in different directions. Rel and I had a secret cure for our troubles. We would meet and have a ginger ale and chocolate eclair party. The chocolate - and Rel - would always make my troubles go away. I will miss her forever.
