Obituary of Andrew L. Baker

Andrew “Andy” Baker, 71, went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 6, 2023. Andy was born July 29, 1951. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Wiggins Baker; his sister Dorthey Mays Gallishaw, and his in-laws Julius and Katherine Battaglini. Andy is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 42 years, Pamela (Battaglini) Baker; his children, Julie (Philip) Douglass, Lisa (Keith) Douglass, and Christopher (Kelly) Baker; his fifteen grandchildren, Keira, William, Emma, Colin, Douglas, Julius, Sadie, Dominic, Luc, Analise, Lydia, Rowan, Penny-Kate, Judah, and Oliviana; his siblings, David (Donna) Baker, Ray (Vicky) Baker, Terry (Enid) Baker, Lisa Baker, Calvin Perkins, and Pam Whitfield; and many other treasured family and friends. Andy worked as a land surveyor in Rochester for many years. He went on to work alongside his wife at the Pielady Bakery. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who saw his wife, children, and grandchildren as the lights of his life. He had a special bond with each and every one of them and will forever cherish the memories they made together. Andy was known for his kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to sharing the love of the Lord with all he met. His warm smile, hearty laugh, and genuine loving nature touched countless lives and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know him. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S Washington St, East Rochester, NY 14445. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534. Interment to follow.
