Obituary of Ralph A DiTucci

Ralph A. DiTucci passed peacefully with family at his side on March 24, 2023 at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Anna (Cannella) DiTucci, brothers Jack, Salvatore, and Anthony, brother-in-law Sam (Diane) Privitera, and son David DiTucci. Ralph is survived by his loving wife and “bride” of 51 years, Maryann (Privitera) DiTucci and their five children – Anthony (Karen) DiTucci, Ralph V. (Bridget) DiTucci, Nick (Becky) DiTucci, LeAnna (Justin) Watt, Christina (Michael) Sweeney, and his “adopted son” Orliny “Guido” Lendor. He is also survived by sisters, Mary (Joe) Sina and Louise (Ron) Love, and brothers, Joe (Mary Jane) DiTucci, John (Mary Ellen) DiTucci; sister-in-law, Nancy DiTucci and brother-in-law Joseph (Trish) Privitera. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren,Aidan, Tatum, Aviella, Atlee, Alexandra, Major, Liliana, Tessa, Joanna, Jack, Paul, and Otto, as well as many close friends, nieces, and nephews. Ralph was a man of great faith, attending daily mass for many years. Held in high regard, his professionalism was second only to his kindness and compassion toward everyone he encountered. He was a true gentleman treasured by all for his boundless generosity, selflessness, inspiration and deep love for his family and friends. Ralph was a proud Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and attended the University of Cincinnati. Ralph was an accomplished licensed architect, builder, and developer in the Rochester area, leaving his imprint on our community through the countless projects he helped bring to fruition, especially his beloved St. Jerome Church. Ralph was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and former member of the Italian Heritage Foundation. He built a remarkable life with his wife, Maryann and was everyone’s “go-to guy.” His wisdom and wit will be missed by many, especially by family members who knew him as Papa. Special thanks to the University of Rochester Medical Wilmot Cancer Center and Hospice Care Visiting Nurses for their teams of angels and their compassionate care. Calling hours will be held at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 Washington Street, East Rochester, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Friends and family are invited to attend Ralph’s funeral mass at the Church of St. Jerome, 207 Garfield Street, East Rochester, at 10:00 am on Monday, April 3, 2023. The mass can be viewed via live stream by visiting stjeromerochester.org. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in Ralph’s memory to Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) or the East Rochester Resource Center.
