Dear Kevin, Deanna, Jeff and family I was so sorry to hear recently of John’s passing. I knew him a long time ago through his wonderful parents Dick and Ellie. I cherish many warm and happy memories of all of you during our visits to his parents home. I hope that you can find comfort in your own memories of the kind and welcoming person John was. I’m so sorry I am unable to attend today. I knew John from all of my years of working the Monday Senior League at Sunset Lanes. He was always one of my favorites! Always so nice to me, always the one to share his stories of his outings and trips with his beloved friends. My sincere condolences to your family and all of his friends.

I met John in the early 90s, he bowled in our league for many years and played golf with us. He always had a smile on his face even when hurting with back pain. I last saw him a few years back after a round of golf with his buddies. His family and friends should be proud to have known him.

I am sorry to read about your loss of John. I met John in 1971. I was a first-year Union apprentice and John was a fourth-year Union apprentice. I weighed 124 pounds and John was 130 pounds. We were working for TH Green Electric at Building 200, at Webster Xerox. My job as a first-year helper was to do the less skill jobs on the project. This included getting water, coffee, keep the jobsite clean, and receiving and organizing materials as they arrive on the jobsite. It seems strange that almost every time that we had a delivery of materials John would appear from nowhere and tell me that he would carry the material to our storage area. He told me that the material was too heavy for me to carry it. I still remember John, struggling to carrying the majority of the materials and me carrying one or two item. We were both extremely skinny at the time. But John weighted only four more pounds than me!!!! I will miss John. We spend many hours at the Sunshine's Bar discussing how to save and change the world. But the next time that there is a Thunderstorm, I know that John will be up in Heaven, telling God how to wire the lightning bolts to get a brighter effect!!!

To the Family: My husband, Tony, and I were friends with Kathy and John Warren, and had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with John. Spent several years going the house for New Year's Eve. Have such vivid memories of all those faces in that basement and John's welcoming us all in! Wonderful times. John was a great guy, and I am so glad he was part of my journey. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
