Obituary of Jean Nicodemus
Jean Nicodemus, 82, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at home, Monday, July 3, 2023. She is now free of pain and is with Our Lord. She was born in Rochester, NY November 12, 1940. She grew up in Rochester where she met her husband of 63 years December 19, 1959. They were married at Greenstone Methodist Church. She was to be said, so beautiful. Their first Christmas they lived in a tiny apartment with a tiny tree. Don found a little round pink glass ornament by the trash can outside and gave it to his young bride. And as far as his sisters remember they had that ornament on their tree. So many memories of Jean, we could talk for hours of the happy times. She worked at Winnross for awhile before she decided to stay home and raise her family, her sons, Glenn, Todd and Michael. Daughters Kimberley and Tammy. She babysat and those children became her family also as well as other children in the neighborhood. She was loved by so many. 63 yrs of marriage ended on December 19, 2022 when she lost her husband Donald. She was also predeceased by her parents Gertrude and Arthur Zimmer. Her son Michael and Granddaughters Destiney and Nina which she was waiting to meet again. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. As her request there will be no services and she will be cremated. A special thank you to Aunt Kathy and Heather from Hospice. If anyone would like to make a donation in her name please help with Toys for Tots. Don and Michael are Marines and that would mean a lot.
