Buon viaggio Ezio! Con dolore ho appreso oggi della tua scomparsa..... E' sempre vivo in me il ricordo di te nelle parole di mio padre, Antonio Bonanni (tuo zio), il quale nel parlarci di te, a me e mio fratello Ezio ancora bambini, ci raccontava, con affetto e stima nei tuoi confronti, del coraggio, l'intraprendenza e la tenacia che avevi nell'affrontare la vita ed il viaggio in America..... For many years, once a week, Ezio and I met for a lesson in speaking and reading Italian. Each session was supposed to last for an hour, but - more often than not - they extended beyond the 60 minutes. Ezio knew I loved espresso and so he would the moka pot on the stove and we would enjoy a cup and sometimes a biscotti or two while we tackled that week’s lesson. He was a most able teacher and a good friend. I will miss him, his generosity and his stories. Addio, mio amico caro!
