Bernard James Allen Obituary

Bernard J. Allen of East Rochester died December 7th, 2023 at age 61 after battling multiple blood cancers. Bernie is predeceased by his sister, Cynthia, and father, Bernard. Survived by his loving and caring wife, Tracy, daughters, Erica and Andrea, stepsons, Collin and Michael Parsons and mother, Beverly; many other relatives and friends.


Bernie was a proud 1980 East Rochester graduate. He was obtained degrees from St. John Fisher College and RIT. Bernie’s hobbies included coaching football and basketball, and umpiring East Rochester Little League. He also announced football games on channel ERCN-12 for 20 years. Bernie was an Air Force veteran and worked for many years at Kodak and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield. Bernie’s family wishes to express sincere thanks to the care provided at the doctors and nurses at the University of Rochester Medical Center Wilmot Cancer Center.


Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2:30-6:30 pm. Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington Street, East Rochester. Services to be held privately. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
