It seems so hard to believe but I met Mike back in 1981 when I was hired to teach with Chris as part of a four person team. Any time I was around Mike at any type of gathering, I so enjoyed talking with him. He had an easy going manner and he was a great listener. Through the years, during any of our meetings, he always spoke proudly of all his children and of Chris. The last time I saw him was at his grandson’s calling hours. I knew how physically sick he was and how devastated he was at his grandson’s death. So sorry to have heard about his passing. All my love to Chris, KC and Kelly, Michelle and Tracy. My most cherished memories of Mike shine from holiday gatherings, where he demonstrated a genuine zeal for his grandchildren's interests and connected with them on a heartfelt level, creating a lasting impact. Even when Mike's health was fragile, he made it a priority to attend birthday parties and holiday celebrations, as being surrounded by loved ones filled him with delight and contentment. Allan and I will deeply miss him, honoring his remarkable legacy.

When I first started at ER School in second grade, Mike was my first friend. We played “in the park baseball” and swimming at Kate Gleason. He was friendly,, easy to talk to, happy smile and kindly . Miss you Mke!

Mike and I were best buddies all through our grammar school/elementary school years right up through junior high. He lived on Ivy Street right around the corner from my sister on Main Street. Our moms got together for coffee and "gabbing" every day after we went to school. We were inseparable, playing all kinds of sports together and, try as I might, Mike was always just a little bit quicker and a little bit better than me at all of them. I didn't mind, though, because he was a great friend. We lost touch with each other over the years, and I was really looking forward to seeing him at our next class reunion. I'm so sorry that I waited too long.
