Obituary of Frank M. Hunn
In memory of Frank Hunn who passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025 at the age of 74. Frank (aka “Papa”) was a loving, devoted husband, stepfather, and grandfather who was happiest at home with his beloved wife Karen watching MeTV. He is survived by his adoring wife Karen Hunn who tirelessly cared for him as he navigated numerous chronic illnesses for the last few years. Frank leaves behind his “daughters” Darlene Schmitt (Ken Knight), Jaclyn (Jonathan) Clune; and his grandchildren Austin, Lauren (Kumar) and Madison Schmitt; Brodie and Hank Ferguson. He is also survived by daughter Ida (Jason) Mills; sister Carol Viscanti (Jim) and brother Everette Jr. Frank was loved by many extended family members including his sister-in-law Annette Williamson and brother and sister-in-law Sonny and Christy Longmore as well as several nieces, and nephews.
Frank was a talented carpenter who retired from the Rochester Psychiatric Center after 40 years of dedicated service as a Maintenance Supervisor II. He enjoyed history and loved to tell his grandchildren about what it was like “back in the day”. His patience was unending, and he was admired for his incredible resilience and fortitude.
Burial will be private, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday January 18th, 2025 at 11am in the White Haven All Seasons Chapel, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY.
