As I type this I find myself feeling how much Dan Touch our family. We live on Fairport Rd on the way to Wegmans. So would see Dan on his sometimes daily trips to the store. He would stop during the summer to visit tell stories and ask about Jimmy endeavors. In the winter from time to time he would stop and knock, come in for water and catch up and on his way he would be. I also worked in our many sports concession stands and when I would see Dan coming I always put extra hotdogs on the grill. I was always amazed at the quantity of HOTS he could eat...! Dan always took the time to ask about or talk to my son and will always be part of our memories. He touched more people than you will ever know and I hope I can raise my son to be as caring as he was. Thank You for sharing him with us!
Rest In Peace Dan. We met in 1971 and spent 17 years together as coach and manager. Dan was a man of true character and earned the respect of all who associated with him.
In 1972 we started a Friday tradition where Dan would finish the practice as quarterback running 55 down and out the Redskins favorite play that tradition lasted many years after I retired from coaching.
Dan will be remembered for his 50 years of service to athletes, coaches and school communities and will be missed greatly by all
